Whole 30 Interest Group

Sat., Dec. 14th 10:00-11:30AM OR Wed., Dec. 18th 1:00-2:30PM

Did you know that you have the power to positively change the way your body feels and functions simply by modifying the food you eat? You may have heard people talking about eliminating gluten, increasing their protein intake or cutting out dairy; these ideas are good in theory, but each of us react differently to certain foods. What if you were able to do a mini experiment on yourself and find out once and for all how foods make your body feel.

Since April 2009, millions of people have successfully completed the Whole 30 program, a 30-day commitment to reset your body by eating whole healthy foods.

Andrea Sharp will be leading our group and will explain everything you need to know to start your body reset. She has experience guiding others through the program and helping them create new, healthy habits that last a lifetime. Committing to our January Whole 30 Group will give you immediate access to answers and direct accountability.

Come join us for one of these two informational sessions. We can help you make the program fit your lifestyle, so you can see results in every area of your life!

Mindfulness Monday

Monday, Dec. 16th 6:00-7:00 pm

This workshop will provide a follow up to November’s mindfulness class. It will include a brief review of mindfulness essentials for any new participants. Then time will be spent learning and practicing a second approach to mindfulness!

About Frank:

Frank Gantz's personal practice of meditation began over 40 years ago in 1974 with Transcendental Meditation. During the 1990s, he studied and practiced Siddha Yoga meditation, receiving Shaktipat (awakening) from Gurumayi Chidvilasanada. Eventually his meditation journey led him to the study and practice of mindfulness which has been life changing. Frank’s mindfulness practice is eclectic. He draws heavily from Thich Nhat Hanh's Zen Buddhism and is also informed by Tibetan Buddhist teachings of Sogyal Rinpoche and others. But he is also heavily influenced by secular mindfulness approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Professionally, Frank is a clinical psychologist.
